i agree completely! apparently the fella who played Craven is irish -- wish they had let him use his real accent, as I felt that him being the only vamp w/out an accent kind of sounded odd.
you'd think that if Amelia is an elder vampire she'd a)be able to better defend herself, and b)wear armor. maybe that gorgeous corset was tied too tight, and it cut off rational thought.
