BTW, is it just me, or are pedestrians run down by cars in movies and TV shows incessantly these days? Any time a character steps even near a street, I brace my self for them to be flattened by A CAR SUDDENLY COMING FROM OUT OF NOWHERE.

I thought it was funny, too - and the irony, of course, is that the shoplifter/driver who hit her (and the duck's owner) was the passenger in the duck's owner's car. She dropped the duck when the open car door smacked her as he was trying to get away...

Some reporter probably spent their entire day trying not to fall out of their chair laughing while writing that story.

It's horrible and funny at once. Better than most of the news lately. :p

I think it would have been funnier if the duck was driving... or for a twist ending, you found out that the duck was ALSO a shoplifter!
